Passionate about canoeing, Andrew shares his insights as a professional instructor and regular contributing writer to outdoor and paddling magazines. As an innovator of new white-water canoeing skills, Andrew and his wife Carole work together to bring technique videos to a wide audience through their YouTube channel “Westwoodoutdoors”. Andrew is an Instructor Trainer with Paddle Canada and a member of their Moving Water Program Development Committee. As a successful open canoe athlete, Andrew has also garnered many first place finishes in local and international open canoe slalom events. At home in the wilderness, he has guided on the Nahanni River, the North Shore of Lake Superior and explored areas of Ellesmere Island in Canada’s far north.
